I ordered this lock knowing that it had an app and bluetooth features, but assuming that I would also have the option to use the lock WITHOUT those features (I have another fingerprint lock that required no app so this seemed reasonable). I was wrong. You cannot do anything with this lock without downloading the app, which comes along with questionable permissions. I’m not willing to give those permissions and my unique fingerprint to some random company. Therefore this product is useless to me.

I’m using this on a door for my storage locker and it is so useful. I set it up once and was able to set up multiple users too. I can even setup temp passwords if I want to give someone access temporarily. It’s waterproof too so I don’t have to worry about the rain shorting out the electronics inside that make it work.
It also looks and feels really solid and strong. Best of all I can use my fingerprint or a passcode, that’s where those temp codes come in.

I love that it has an app that allows me to create, store, and delete any number of combinations. I also like how it can store fingerprints and allow access to the app for anyone I want. The battery life is INSANE. I don’t think I’ve charged it but the first time I set it up. Every time I’ve checked from that point on, the battery has been almost full. The only down side is if your finger is wet or the lock is wet, the thumb print will NOT work. So…. make sure to back up how to get in.

I bought this for an outside gate. It’s great with the pin features etc.This lock allows for so many options. For example, I can give one time access code or a permanent access code to someone not in my family. I can access through Bluetooth or manually lock and unlock. The app is simple to use but offers the necessary tools to monitor and maintain security. I recommend the protective sleeve as an added protection since our lock is exposed outside to the elements every day. Handy when I don’t have a light source. I am a first time buyer of this product brand and cannot say enough about the response from the seller.

nifty lock does what it says it does. One star taken off because the instructions are confusing about how to set the number combination and online is not any help, either. It is called “password” on the app, not “combination.” Once I figured that out, it is easy and works well.
