I’m sorry, but anyone that is saying they have issues with the installation and/or recording fingerprints is either fibbing or should not be allowed to do any diy projects themselves. You are basically saying you cant drill a hole (for the installation), and can’t hold a finger on the scanner for 10 seconds (to register).
I purchased this lock just about 3 years ago, the photo is after the 3 years of heavy use. I have it installed on my desks center top drawer that I am in and out of all day long. I have replaced the batteries twice now (the second time just recently) And I can count on 1 hand the number of times it didn’t correctly read my print on the first try, and every one was because I had something (glue, food, dirt) on my finger. There is honestly no difference between now and the day I installed it.
This is probably the third time Ive left any review on a product. After 3 years, heavy use, and for this price, I figured it was well earned. And thank you.

Basic criteria of a lock is it should be strong and sturdy, this is made of very bad quality plastic and the electronics do not look reliable at all. And the lock does not even fix properly due to its poor quality and the wires are so thin, it will just break. Disappointing product. Fingerprintlock.us.com should stop Indian companies selling cheap quality Chinese products as their own.
